For the next 21 days nominate at least one person to help raise hypertension awareness.
Studies show that only 1 in every 4 men know they have hypertension while in women it’s 1 in every 5.
Every adult in Kenya should know their blood pressure numbers in the same way they know their height and weight. When you know your numbers you can take steps to look after your blood pressure and lead a long and healthy life.
It aims to highlight the threat undiagnosed high blood pressure poses to people who may be at risk. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can be a silent killer as usually there are no symptoms before someone has a heart complication or stroke.
The rules are simple. Once nominated, your 21 days start the following day. Record yourself doing 21 push ups even if you have to drop to your knees (you can do them in shorter sets if you wish). And every day you must nominate a different person/persons & remember to visit your nearest health facility or if you have a BP machine check your numbers.
Today I nominate #(Name) to join me. I am sure you’re up to the challenge
. Lets go.
